Throughout this website you will find many examples of how we promote the defined British Values of
Respect in one of our Core Values, (Love Compassion, Respect) and this is part of how we promote the British Values, preparing our children for their years ahead as they grow.
Through these, we learn about other faiths including visiting different places of worship for a variety of religions. We have multi-cultural weeks to celebrate and value our diversity as well as understanding the similarities between us. Democracy is learnt through our Class and School Councils, voting for House Captains and visits to the Mayor's Parlour and the Houses of Parliament. Children learn about the law of rule as they are part of the decisions in behaviour rewards and sanctions after helping to revise our behaviour policy.
On February 8th 2018, we were privileged to be visited by The Worshipful Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor George Cooper and the Mayoress, Councillor Judith Cooper. They spent time talking to the children about their responsibilities and the symbolism of his robes and the mace.
The children asked lots of questions about his life and work as Mayor of Hillingdon.
