Dr Triplett’s Church of England Primary School Strategic Vision
Dr Triplett’s strategic vision has been developed by the Governors through consultation with pupils, parents and staff. We have short, medium and long term goals which are grounded in our school’s aim to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. We will encourage an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promote the Christian values of love, compassion and respect for each other through the experience we offer to all pupils.
In the longer term our vision is that by 2020 we will:
Have a strong reputation as a school which celebrates diversity by consistently achieving the best for all its pupils including those with special educational needs and the more able;
Enable our pupils to acquire the basic concepts, values and attitudes which will form a sound basis for the next phase of their education and eventually for adult life;
Be recognised locally as making a positive contribution to our community;
Be an employer of choice, providing high quality continuous professional development and supported opportunities for progression.
To achieve our long term vision by 2018 we will:
Value and protect our extensive school grounds, making best use of them for the education of our pupils with the establishment of a Forest School;
Continually promote the British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of all beliefs and cultures;
Have consistently outstanding behaviour;
Integrate our parents in the decision-making processes of the school through our Parent Council.
By summer 2017 we will:
Be a step further towards our ambition to be an Outstanding school;
Continue to improve our children's learning opportunities;
Get even better at teaching and learning reading skills;
Involve parents more in the work of the school
We will continually review our strategic vision to ensure it fits with national and local priorities, and the changing expectations of our stakeholders. It will provide the foundation for our school improvement planning and the practical demonstration of our ambition for our pupils.
